This character means the ‘fast’-changing value of money on ‘earth’

The left side of the character looks like it has two legs running and the right side looks like a short leg slanted towards the left character kicking it telling it to go faster.

The right part of this character is the same as the character for “fast” and this character is pronounced the same way. We can remember its meaning by remembering that MONEY comes from the earth (the radical on the left) and we usually want to receive it quickly.

Right-character looks like a person and left-character a counter, hence someone is counting (‘measuring’) their CHINESE MONEY.

Imagine an old marketplace where coins (money) are traded, and the money is tied to the land

Has an earth radical, which makes me think of gold. The second part which gives the pronouncation, “kuai,” makes me think of fast. To get MONEY people want to get gold as fast as possible
