When you are in the heart of your house you can feel safe to READ ALOUD.
This looks like a person ”今” flipping pages of a book (the heart radical) in order to read aloud.
The top of 今 looks like an opened book flipped upside down and it is facing 心. So imagine that you are reading to the heart.
