The character is a treasure (left part) protected by a wall, and the person is trying really hard to bring the wall down (right stroke) but they cannot get in and are left OUT/OUTSIDE

The first part has a stock that doesn’t really form a square, it just divides the first character, so there’s a part that you can pass something through, an open part where you can get out, which ties in with the idea of “out”, you can also imagine the second character as an “out” person, in other words, remembering the meaning of the character
