It is the radical of sun with 生 (sheng) below it. So it is birth of a small sun.

the sun radical indicates that it has meaning related to stars, and it is also related to time when used to mean “week”. It also looks like a person holding a microphone so he is singing (sing => xing)

The top radical means “sun” and the bottom radical means “birth”, which makes me think of astrology, since someone’s zodiac sign is determined by what constellation the sun is in.
