The most effective way to remember this is that this uses the speak/speech radical. In ancient times, oral speaking and oral TEST was common so it makes sense that the speech radical would be used here. It also looks like a person sitting taking a test.

To me, this character seems unorganized, because its structure is not similar to other characters, especially with the small component in the middle which feels out of place. This is what happens when someone tries new things, and it’s also unorganized like mistakes on a test.
