If you speak to someone, 人, indicated by the language radical, 讠, then you are likely to recognize them again

The right part means person and the left part looks like approaching or getting to know someone or something.

认 is to recognize because 人 indicates a person and the radical looks like a light bulb. A person suddenly recognizing something will have a light bulb that lights up in their mind.

It looks like a combination of the speech and person radical, because you talk to a person you ‘recognise’.

It is easy to recognize someone when you talk with them. Hence the speech radical with the ren character beside it.

It might be good to remember the speech radical and then a person character standing next to the speech radical.

When you recognize someone outside, so u see him or her like a person , so this stands for second radical. But for first radical when u are saying “oh is that you?” u have speech so it stands for it
