H for “heavy rain” because of the rain radical, gong because of the right character, combine the two and you get “hong” or red

This character consists of silk and work. It is a little severe (don’t judge me) but, if you work very hard, your silk clothes may get stained with your RED blood.

since SILK is made by silkworms and they need to empty those silkworms in a vertical line, it feels like they are BLEEDING, which is red

It might be fun to image the character on the right as a measuring tool that is checking the length of the silk so that they can accurately color it RED.

The second character looks like a sideways “H” for hong. The silk radical looks like sharp spikes that could cut you and make you see red.
