i remember the bamboo radical through 算了 （forget it) so I would think of that as if you put something in the refrigerator and forget it. If you see it with your eyes (eye radical on the bottom right) later, it might be spoiled by then.

This reminds me of a box because the component similar to the eye radical looks a lot like three boxes stacked on top of each other. The bamboo and wood radicals remind the viewer what the box is made of.

The bamboo radical on the top indicates that it is a BOX made out of bamboo. It also looks like a box from the side as the stripes from the eye radical look like stripes of wood.

theres a bamboo radical along with a wood radical because refridgerator were made of wood (and bamboo is wood) in the olden times, and there is 3 shelfs like on a refridgerator
