My roomate told me that this character is difficult to write and has a lot of steps, you need to be motivated to learn to write this character, which is ironic since it is defined as lazy. Since then I recognize this character in this manner.

This one looks like 3 people hanging out. The lowercase l with two dashes, then a sort of tree with a box in the middle, and then another person. It also helps to remember that it’s a really complicated character with a lot of strokes, which is funny because that’s the opposite of “laziness”.
