The part under the radical looks like if you were to put your left hand up and make an “L” with it which indicates left. Also, you can remember that the top of the character is like an upside-down “L” for left.

This character means “left” because it looks like an object is to the left of a person

Looks very similar to 在, just differs by two lines. Looks like this 工作的工 beside this roof/overhang like like structure.

I am able to rember the pronounciation because the 工 in the character reminds me of 工作, which has a second part that sounds like character.

The 工 reminds me of 工作, of which its second part sounds similar to the sound of the character meaning LEFT.

The 工 resembles 工作, which is usually associated with the political left.

the pinyin for 左 is zuo which reminds of the character 做 and inside of the character it looks like the character 工 so i thought about it as your left hand is used to 做工。

I remember that zuo is left because there’s a Beyonce’s song Irreplaceable starts with “to the left to the left”. So I just remember Beyonzuo and its left.

右 looks like Yo, and the工 in 左 looks like “Z”. With this technique, it’s easy to differentiate Right and Left!

Imagine a person standing with their left hand raised high (the horizontal stroke on top of 左), indicating that it’s the left side.

i remember the character name zuo by remembering that the capital I shape in the character is the same as from (gongzuo)工作 (work)and this character is thus pronounced ZUO.

The radical looks like a L to me, which is the first letter of “F”.

you can imagine the 工 part as a dumbbell and people should hold it with the LEFT so they can gain strength in their left arm since they usually is the non-dominant hand for many

The gong from gong zuo helps me to remeber how to pronounce the character, and the shape of the character gong use sharper lines like in the letter L which make me think Left.
