The left part of the character looks like a boxing sandbag, while the right part looks like a person is using their elbow and leg to attack the sandbag. I could imagine the person saying, “Hey ya,” before making a Kungfu strike.

The right part of the character looks like someone doing a karate kick screaming “YA” while trying to hit the plank (left part of the character) in front of them (I used a practice guinea pig for my friend who is a black belt in karate, so sometimes I was the left part of the character).
