two different parts of a hand on top and bottom so it looks like you’re taking something from one hand and putting it in the other.

It looks like the love character but you need to change the “you” character part on the bottom for the hand radical. Sorry for this explanation, it’s hard “to bear with”. 🙁

the bottom radical means hand and the top radical is same radical from the word 爱. so seems like hand is trying to take in the love with his/her hand.

The hand radical at the bottom explains this character’s pronunciation, and because it’s combined with the “love” character’s radical, it means that it’s hard to take something to heart.

受, similar but different from ai, the “you” radical under it makes think an unfortunate situation has happened again and again. It is hard to bear with.
