The bottom left reminds me of 去 so I think about what comes after “to go,” which is “to arrive”

This character looks like part of an airplane (top left) and a landing platform on the right. This shows the plane is arriving.

The left part of 到 reminds me of both 去 “to go” and 在 “to be in/at” , so if you’re GOING somewhere you’ll be AT, you’re ARRIVING.

The left part is like the character 去 but the two components are switched upside down. So it has a meaning similar to going but in reverse.

I like to “arrive”(upside down of go) sharp (knife radical) on time.

the left half looks 去 (to go) if it were cut in half by the knife radical on the right side and flipped, reminding me that it’s the end result of going somewhere (to arrive)

The character is based around the knife and the same part as the go character just flipped.

this character can be thought of as being faced with the doors at the metro up ARRIVING to your destination.
